Trayvon Martin's family will visit Stephen Lawrence's memorial later today. 17-year-old Trayvon was shot after an altercation with George Zimmerman in Florida in February. Initially Zimmerman was questioned but not arrested by police. This ignited a huge public outcry and accusations of racism.
Stephen's mother wrote to Trayvon's mother, Sybrina Fulton, following the shooting. Sybrina will tour the Stephen Lawrence centre in Deptford along with his father Tracy Martin and older brother Jahvaris. The centre provides training and education for vulnerable and disadvantaged people.
Philanthropist Lord Ashcroft is to visit the Bomber Command Memorial for the first time today.
He gave the project the last £1,000,000 it needed to complete construction.
The Memorial in London's Green Park will honour the 55,573 men of Bomber Command who lost their lives in World War II.
The Memorial is currently under construction and is due to be completed by 28th June.
A memorial plaque for murdered private detective Daniel Morgan has been placed in a church yard in Powys to mark the 25th anniversary of his death.
37 year old Mr Morgan, originally from Llanfrechfa near Cwmbran, was found with an axe in his head in a south London pub car park in 1987.
His murder has been investigated five times but still nobody has been convicted.
