A 16-year-old boy has been jailed for taking part in a shoot-out on the Pembury Estate in Hackney. Miles Thomas Addy of Pembury Close was jailed for eight years after pleading guilty at Snaresbrook Crown Court to possession of a firearm and ammunition with intent to endanger life.

On January 13th, he was seen exchanging shots with two males on bikes. One of the bullets went through a window and into a nearby bedroom.

In court, the judge told Addy: "You are an appallingly dangerous individual who showed a total disregard for the lives of people who live on the estate - your behaviour was outrageous."
