The victim of a fatal nightclub shooting in London's West End has been named as Hassan Isman Omer. The 31 year old man from Poplar was shot at a private function inside the Avalon nightclub on Shaftesbury Avenue in the early hours of Thursday morning.
He was rushed to hospital but died from the gunshot wounds. A formal identification is yet to be made but police have released the victim's name and his next of kin have been notified.
Two men, aged 31 and 34, arrested on suspicion of murder have been bailed until February, as inquiries continue. Police are urging any witnesses to come forward.
