Olympic pool will open to the public at 9am

The London Aquatics Centre which housed the diving and swimming events during the London Olympics will open to the public from 9am.

But people are being advised to book their visit online due to concerns that there maybe significant queues to get into the venue.

Olympic bike park soon to be open to the public

Bookings for London's new cycling hub are available from today.

The Lee Valley VeloPark hosted the cycling events at the 2012 Olympics and will be home to road, track, BMX and mountain biking facilities when it opens to the public next month.

But cyclists have warned that amateur riders will need to go through a special training session before taking to the park's famous velodrome circuit.
