The Metropolitan Police has released this CCTV image of three people they want to speak to in connection with the death of Omer Jama Abdi a year ago. Detective Inspector Jamie Stevenson said he hoped people would recognise themselves in the CCTV pictures and make contact with the police.
A year after the death Omer Jama Abdi in Wembley, police are making renewed appeals for witnesses and offering a £20,000 reward for information on his murder.
On Tuesday, 14th February 2012 at approximately 2.20am officers were alerted a man injured following an assault in St John's Road, Wembley.
He was taken to Northwick Park Hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. He was 35-year-old Omer Jama Abdi. It is understood Mr Abdi had been involved in an altercation with two men, outside an address in St John's Road, prior to the assault.
.A initial post-mortem examination did not establish a formal cause of death, but following the results of further tests it was established Omer died of coronary heart disease with a causational link to the assault.
