With the new football season just around the corner, transfer rumours and deals have started to gather momentum.
The 2014/15 Football League season kicks off on Saturday the 16th of August.

Arsenal has reclaimed the top spot in the Premier League following a 1-0 win over Newcastle. It was Olivier Giroud's header that secured the match for the Gunners. It was his 11th goal of the season. Arsenal overtook Manchester City at the top of the ladder.
Fulham have signed Darren Bent on a season-long loan from Aston Villa. The striker was out for much of last season with a hamstring injury, but still scored six goals in 23 appearances.
At a press conference, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger admitted that the process of trying to sign new players was frustrating, but that there "are 18 days to go until the end of the transfer market, and we are of course looking to strengthen our squad"
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that midfielder Mikel Arteta will not play in the first game of the season against Aston Villa.
At a press conference, he named defender Per Mertesacker as captain.
Asked about the importance of winning the first game of the season he said: "We know with the Premier League nowadays that every game is important, and that a good start is vital, especially when you play at home. So we'll put all the effort in to win our first game."
Defender Thomas Vermaelen and full back Nacho Monreal are also both out with back injuries, but Wenger revealed that Vermaelen could soon be back to full fitness and is expected to make an appearance soon.

The Premier League has decided that Villa Park in Birmingham will host a potential play-off between Arsenal and Chelsea if the two sides end the season level on points, goal difference and goals scored.
If that happens, the game will be played on May 26th to decide which club automatically qualifies for the Champions League group stage while the losers will have to go through a qualifying round.
