Teenage girl shot dead at a home in east London

A girl believed to be 15-years-old has been shot dead at a home in east London, Scotland Yard said.

Police were called to reports of a shooting at a residential address in Eastway, Hackney shortly before 4pm yesterday.

Police are continuing to guard outside the terraced house where the shooting happened. The street, which backs on to Wick Woodland, remains closed to allow detectives to carry out their inquiries.

Police 'believe they know identity' of shot teenager

Police "believe they know the identity" of a 15-year-old girl who was shot dead in Hackney, east London, today.

Officers believe they know the identity of the deceased and have begun informing family, however they await formal identification.

A post-mortem examination will be held in due course.

Three arrested after a girl shot dead in London

A girl believed to be around 15-years-old was shot dead in east London on Saturday.

Three males, all under 18, were arrested nearby and taken to an east London police station, where they remain in custody.

Police said the teenage victim was gunned down inside a building at Eastway, near Hackney Wick station, shortly before 4pm today.

Girl, 15, shot dead in Hackney, London

A 15-year-old girl has been shot dead in Hackney, east London, police said. Police were called to Eastway after 4pm today and three people aged under 18-years-old have been arrested.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "Officers believe they know the identity of the deceased and have begun informing family, however they await formal identification.

The London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance attended but the girl was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives from the Met's Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating.

Appeal for witnesses to 'drive-by' shooting

Police are appealing for witnesses to a suspected drive-by shooting on Waterloo Bridge.

A black Ford Focus, travelling southbound, was shot at by someone believed to have been on a motorcycle yesterday evening.

A 22-year-old man was taken to hospital but has since been discharged.

The surrounding area, including the Southbank, would have been busy with people enjoying their Friday night and detectives are eager to speak with anyone who witnessed the shooting, or who saw the motorcycle fleeing the area.

Three men, believed to be in their twenties, have been arrested on suspicion of firearms offences and remain in custody.

The Trident Gang Crime Command is investigating.

Man appears in court accused of Boxing Day shooting

A man has appeared in court accused of shooting a nightclub reveller dead on Boxing Day. Unemployed Danny Walker, 32, appeared at Thames Magistrates' Court charged with the murder of Hassan Mohammed Omer Isman in London's West End.

His case was sent to the Old Bailey, where a preliminary hearing is expected to take place on January 14, the Metropolitan Police said. Mr Isman, 31 from Poplar in east London, died in hospital after suffering multiple gunshot wounds at about 3am on Boxing Day

It happened during a private function in the Avalon club on Shaftesbury Avenue.

He was 31. Dean Robinson, a 32-year-old barber, is charged with possession with intent to supply class A drugs and concealing criminal property and is expected to appear at Thames Magistrates' Court later today.

A third man, 31, who was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs and assisting an offender, has been bailed to return to an east London police station in late February.

Three men also arrested in connection with the incident, aged 24, 31 and 34, remain on bail.
