Blue singer Lee Ryan has been arrested after driving erratically. The 30-year-old was stopped by police following the driving incident at 5:30am yesterday in Ealing.

He was initially taken to a west London police station on suspicion of drink-driving but while in custody he was arrested on suspicion of possession of class A drugs and criminal damage.

He will appear at Ealing Magistrates' Court on May 2 charged with failing to provide a specimen and criminal damage. It's reported Ryan was at the opening of a bar in the city with a fellow band member, just hours earlier.

Singer George Michael says he's scrapped his drug-taking lifestyle and now gets his "highs" from watching Coronation Street. The North London resident says he made the lifestyle choice after brushes with death and the law.

The 51 year-old has told the Big Issue, he has not smoked marijuana for 18 months. He says he instead enjoys binging on episodes on Coronation Street because it's more of a laugh.

Stars turn out for opening night of Book of Mormon

The hit Broadway show "The Book of Mormon" opened in London's West End last night.

Stars, including the cast of Downton Abbey and actor Damien Lewis, flocked to the Prince of Wales Theatre.

The no holds barred musical is from the creators of US TV show South Park.

Mumford & Sons 'weren't expecting' best group win

After Mumford & Sons picked up the prize for best British group at the Brit Awards, frontman Marcus Mumford said:

Thanks very much indeed. We weren't expecting that. I don't think we've really taken the opportunity to thank people who have come to our gigs.

"We were in a group with Muse and One Direction, so it's a surprise.

The band formed in December 2007. At the same time a handful of similar bands emerging around West London, giving rise to the "West London Folk Scene".

Their debut album 'Sigh No More' was released in October 2009. The album peaked at number two on the UK Albums Chart and the Billboard 200 in the US. Their second album 'Babel' was the fastest selling UK album of 2012 and the biggest selling debut of any album that year in the US.

Did you know? The band will be performing a stopover gig on their world tour in Lewes later on this year.

Two-time Brit Award winner Ed Sheeran said he was "happy to be back" as he arrived on the red carpet ahead of tonight's ceremony.

He also said he was looking forward to seeing Ben Howard's performance later.
