A man from east London who took a snake on a plane has described how he took it out of his hand luggage because he thought the creature might be thirsty. One passenger screamed when she saw the snake on the flight from Egypt to London Luton.
EasyJet says it was harmless and those on board were not in any danger.
A Californian King Snake has been rescued from the hard shoulder near the Dartford Tunnel. The reptile was spotted in a small plastic tank at the side of the road. The non-venomous reptile is now being cared for by snake experts.
