A good service is operating on the majority of routes across South West Trains network, the company say, however trains are running on an amended timetable on suburban lines due to a signalling problem at Waterloo.
As a result, trains are not currently able to use platforms 1 and 2 at the station, affecting services to and from Epsom/Dorking and Hampton Court.
However, there remains a good service on all other routes.
Emergency engineering work will be carried out overnight to repair the signalling fault. As a result, passengers are advised that an amended timetable will remain in place for the rest of the day.
Southwest trains say it is not possible to fix the problem during the day without causing significant further disruption to trains so the work will be carried out tonight after the close of service.
Because of this, they advise that the following changes will apply until end of service:
London Waterloo to Hampton Court services which depart at 06 and 36 minutes past the hour will start at Surbiton.
Hampton Court to London Waterloo services which depart at 24 and 54 minutes past the hour will terminate at Surbiton.
- Passengers for London Waterloo from Hampton Court and Thames Ditton should change at Surbiton
These changes will apply until approximately 19:00:
London Waterloo to Dorking services which depart at 24 and 54 minutes past the hour are cancelled.
Dorking to London Waterloo services which depart at 05 and 35 minute past the hour are cancelled.
Passengers should use Southern services to Clapham Junction and London Victoria.
Some services from London Waterloo to Guildford will call additionally at Raynes Park, New Malden and Berrylands.
South West trains advises customers to contact them for complaints and to request refunds.
A signalling problem at Clapham Junction is the cause of the delays for commuters this morning. Travellers should expect delays of up to 30 minutes to and from London Waterloo. Delays expected until around midday. Visit National Rail for more info on how services are running.
