A driver who crashed into a bus after being stabbed during rush hour has died in hospital, Scotland Yard has said.
Detectives say they're trying to piece together what happened before a crash in Stockwell tonight. A man was found stabbed in a car that was involved in a collision with a bus. In a statement, a Metropolitan Police spokesperson said:
"There was a fight on a bus near Stockwell tube. Then a call came near the same location of a car in collision with a bus. A man aged about 30 who was in the car that was involved in the collision was found stabbed.
"The man who was stabbed has gone to hospital and is critical."
Passers-by have been posting images of the disruption in Stockwell tonight, after a man was found stabbed. Police said he was discovered in a car that was involved in a bus crash.
It happened in rush hour near Stockwell underground station. An ambulance was called to take the man to hospital.

A man is in a critical condition after being found stabbed in a car that was involved in a bus crash near Stockwell tube. Police were alerted at 5.38pm after a series of incidents which happened during the rush hour.

Ciprian Belea, the son of a man who's gone missing after becoming separated from him at Stockwell tube station, has told our Senior Correspondent Ronke Phillips what happened.
He said he had boarded a tube train but the doors had shut before his father had time to join him.
He said he made a gesture to tell his father to stay put, but he doesn't think he understood, because when he returned to the platform, he wasn't there.
Vasile Belea hasn't been seen since Tuesday.
Police have released a CCTV image of a missing Romanian tourist, who became separated from his son at Stockwell tube station. Vasile Belea, who's 63, was last seen on Tuesday. Police say he may have caught the next tube to Stockwell, or attempted to return to his son's home at Hackbridge in Sutton.
Police are trying to find two men pictured by a phone's security app after it was stolen. The image was emailed to the victim after the device went missing on Monday 25 November.
Detective Constable Graham Hempstead, said: "The victim, a 31-year-old woman, put her phone in her coat pocket and boarded a Northern line train at Clapham South around 7.30am.
"She left the service at Stockwell and boarded a Victoria line train to Oxford Circus, before getting on a Bakerloo line train to Baker Street where she realised her phone was missing.
"We don't know if either of the men pictured are responsible for the theft, but it's clear that one of them had a connection with the phone and I'd like to speak to them about it."
Police have confirmed that a pedestrian who was killed on Wednesday after being hit by a lorry was aged 99.
At 11.35am on Wedneday, London Ambulance Service and Police were called to Stockwell Park Walk, SW9 close to the junction of Brixton Road, following reports of a collision.
The woman was pronounced dead on the scene.
The male lorry driver stopped at the scene. He was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving. He has since been bailed until a date in January.
Police have confirmed that a woman in her 70s has been killed after being hit by a lorry in south London. Stockwell Park Walk warned cordoned off by police earlier today.
