Property roofs collapse after 'form of explosion'

A number of homes have been evacuated after a 'form of explosing' in west Brompton caused the roofs of three terrace houses to collapse.

Fire crews were called to Fernshaw Road just before midday after reports of a loud bang. Luckily no one was hurt and crews continue to investigate what caused it .

A spokesperson for the London Fire Brigade said:

"Four fire rescue units from Chelsea, Euston, Battersea and Edmonton fire stations were at the scene, along with two fire engines from Chelsea and one fire engine from Fulham. An aerial ladder from Paddington was also in attendance.

The cause of the collapse is under investigation."
