Blind woman has £50 stolen by a Big Issue seller

A blind woman has had £50 taken from her purse by a man selling the Big Issue. The 66-year-old was trying to find a coin to give to him outside Morrisons in Sutton High Street. Razvan Dumitru looked like he was trying to help, but instead took £10 notes from her purse.

The victim found out because a mother nearby saw what happened. 22-year-old Razvan Dumitru was found with £50 in notes between copies of the magazine. He pleaded guilty at Croydon Crown Court and is waiting to be sentenced.
