Video from yourthurrock.com, showing traffic stuck behind a multi-vehicle accident, which has closed the clockwise carriageway near Thurrock. One person has died, and at least four others injured.

One person has been killed and five people including a child have been airlifted to hospital after a crash on the M25 near Lakeside in Essex.
The crash involving three lorries and five cars happened around 12.30pm and the southbound carriageway is closed.

– East of England Ambulance Service spokesman Gary Sanderson"Two patients have since been airlifted to the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel with life threatening injuries. A further two adults and a child have been taken by land ambulances to Basildon Hospital for further treatment, their injuries are non life threatening."
One dead in M25 crash
One person's been certified dead at the scene of a major accident on the M25 in Essex.The multi-vehicle collision happened between Junctions 29 and 30 shortly before 12:30pm.
A section of the clockwise carriageway has been closed with traffic being diverted off and back on the motorway.
Paramedics are treating a number of other people for less serious injuries.
Two lorry drivers have been arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. They are currently en route to a police station in south Essex.
The section of carriageway is expected to remain closed for several hours, including the evening rush hour.

Accident closes M25 in Essex
The clockwise M25 is currently closed between junctions 29 and 30 near Thurrock, Essex, following a serious incident.
The multi-vehicle accident happened at 12.30pm and the carriageway is expected to remain closed into this evening’s peak period while police investigations continue.
As the area approaching the incident is heavily congested, drivers travelling south on the M11 intending to use the clockwise M25 are being advised to remain on the M11 to join the A406, and the A13 to rejoin the M25 at junction 30.
M25 serious accident
M25 clockwise closed, queueing traffic, long delays due to serious accident, three lorries and two cars involved between J29 A127 (Romford) and J30 A13 (Lakeside / Tilbury).
First reported at around 12:45, several lorries and cars are involved, near the start of the exit slip road for J30.
Heading towards the QE2 Bridge. The closure is now in place but there is a large amount of trapped traffic which needs to be released.
