The Woolwich ferry provides a really important service and its going to be extremely busy over the Olympic period. There are going to be days where the workforce are going to be stretched to the limit.
Once again, workers had to fight hard to get their contribution and work recognised. We are pleased that workers have secured a fair award for their extra work over the Olympics.
Woolwich ferry is down to a one boat service again this morning because of ongoing technical problems. Staff hope to resume with two boats at 9am.
Transport for London say due to an ongoing technical problem, a one-boat service will operate until further notice on the Woolwich ferry.
