An investigation's been launched after a woman's body was found at a flat following an explosion at an apartment block in Guildford.
A fire broke out at the scene and a man's been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries,
A force spokesman said: "Surrey Police can confirm that the body of a woman has been found in a property in Onslow Street, Guildford."He added: "The cause of the fire is currently under investigation."
Police officers and Surrey Fire and Rescue were called to Bedford House shortly before 5.30pm last night following reports of an explosion.The woman has yet to be formally identified and inquiries are being made to trace her next of kin.
