Thames Valley Police have arrested a man after it is alleged a car was driven the wrong way down the M40 southbound between High Wycombe and Stokenchurch. The motorway is now flowing freely.
At 7:38 this morning we received reports from members of the public that a man was driving at speed the wrong way down the M40 southbound. The driver of a Mazda 6 motorcar was driving at upwards of 70 mph in the 3rd lane of the motorway. As a result of his driving he collided with 6 vehicles including a people carrier, a Mercedes and Vauxhall Astra. No one was injured as a result of these collisions.
