Dog-walkers asked to form neighbourhood watch

Dog owners in Potters Bar, South Mimms and Shenley are being encouraged to sign-up for Dog Watch, a new neighbourhood watch initiative being promoted by Hertfordshire Police.

Police Community Support Officer Chris Ramdeen said:

“A dog walker can be out and about at all times of the day so can be the eyes and ears of our community, as they often see or hear suspicious behaviour and they notice things out of the ordinary.

“Being part of Dog Watch is really easy and it won’t take up large amount of your time. We ask members to keep us informed of anything they think is suspicious. They also report graffiti or damage to street furniture to the council.”
