The Metropolitan Police has said it has charged four people who were arrested a fortnight ago with terrorism offences. Three are accused of travelling to Pakistan for training in terrorism. A woman was also charged with possessing terrorist material.
A fifth man, who was arrested yesterday in east London, has also been charged with possessing terrorist material. Scotland Yard said none of the alleged offences was linked to the Olympics. All five will appear at Westminster Magistrates Court today.
