Young Paralympic hopeful meets Oscar Pistorius

Pollyanna Hope met Oscar Pistorius on 8th September just after he won gold in the T44 400 metres with a time of 46.68 seconds, breaking the Paralympic record.

Pollyanna's mother Sarah Hope and her twin-sister Victoria carried the Paralympic torch in Hackney.

They were watched by Pollyanna, who hopes to compete in the Paralympics herself one day as a showjumper. The seven-year-old lost the lower half of her right leg five years ago, in an accident which killed her grandmother, after a bus hit them in Mortlake in West London.

Olympic victory parade

Team GB and Paralympic GB athletes will take part in the 'Greatest Team Parade' through London to celebrate "the best Games ever."
