Police name six arrested in metal theft raids

Police have named the six men arrested in dawn raids at six addresses across North Hertfordshire on Wednesday September 19th, in connection with the stealing and selling of stolen metal. They have now confirmed all six have appeared at Stevenage Magistrates court. Those arrested were:

  • Kieran Reid, 32, of Ditchmore Lane, Stevenage – charged with receiving stolen goods – pleaded guilty and bailed.
  • Stephen Cox, 44, of Wilshere Crescent, Letchworth – charged with conspiracy to steal scrap metal and cable - given bail by magistrates but was remanded in custody awaiting appeal.
  • Clive Ingram-Clarke, 30, of Grove Road, Hitchin - charged with conspiracy to steal scrap metal and cable – remanded.
  • Craig Batten, 37, of Willow Tree Way, Hitchin - charged with conspiracy to steal scrap metal and cable – remanded.
  • Brian Graham, 47, of Victoria Crescent, Royston - charged with conspiracy to steal scrap metal and cable - remanded.
  • Darren Bain, 35, of NFA, Letchworth, charged with conspiracy to steal scrap metal and cable and handling stolen goods - remanded.
