The sentencing of a man facing life for killing his girlfriend within hours of making a New Year resolution never to hurt her again has been adjourned.

Myles Williams, 19, was found guilty last week of murdering Kirsty Treloar, 20, and wounding her brother and sister in January.

Miss Treloar was stabbed 29 times by Williams, just three weeks after she gave birth to their baby.

Williams, of Hackney, east London, had been due to be jailed today but was remanded in custody to a date to be fixed for further reports to be prepared.
