Boris takes on sporting and political rivals

Boris Johnson was on the startling line with Mo Farah but his focus seemed to be on another rival.

The Mayor was doing his bit for keeping the Olympic spirit alive, backing a report which warns despite such a fantastic year of sport, fewer people are actually getting active.

He was at a school in south London earlier, the day after being invited to lunch by the Prime Minister. But is the truce between the two rivals already over? Our Political Correspondent Simon Harris on why Boris Johnson is set to attack the Government once again.

Kidnapped tourist rescued

A woman from Surrey has been rescued after she was kidnapped during a canoe trip in Ecuador. Kathryn Cox, who's 29 and from Limpsfield, was travelling with a tour group through the Cuyabeno nature reserve in the Tarapoa region.
