Police are appealing for help in tracing a missing pensioner from east London. Christopher Hogsdon, who's 82, was found slumped in an armchair at his home by a friend on Wednesday.

Mr Hogsdon - who suffers from dementia and a critical heart condition - was admitted to the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel. At approximately 17.30hrs on Wednesday he went missing from the hospital.

He has now been missing for 24 hours and police are extremely concerned, as he is not in possession of his medication.

He is white, of slim build, 5ft 5 tall, with short grey hair, and a grey beard. He was last seen wearing a red jumper, beige trousers and black shoes.
