Homelessness is on the rise in London, sparking calls from charities for the Government to do more to help those 'sleeping rough'.

New research shows there has been a 43% rise in homelessness in London in the past year.

Across England, the number of people sleeping rough increased by 23% between Autumn 2010 and Autumn 2011 reached more than 2,000.
