Low-fare airline easyJet is to start a new service from Essex to Cornwall. From next June, the budget carrier will operate three-times-a-week flights between Southend and Newquay. EasyJet hopes to attract almost 10,000 passengers on the route each year. Tickets go on sale from today.
EasyJet commercial manager Hugh Aitken said: We're thrilled to be announcing this new route which opens up a fast connection to the English Riviera." The Newquay route will be easyJet's 14th from Southend, with the airline recently announcing services to Berlin and the Polish city of Krakow.
