Met Police admit ''shocking failings'' in rape inquiry

The Metropolitan Police has admitted making 'shocking failings' while investigating the rape of a teenage girl. The man accused of raping the fifteen year old was acquitted after the police lost evidence.

The force also failed to search for forensic evidence. Now the victim has received 15 thousand pounds in compensation. Liz Wickham has been speaking to her mother, who is anonymous throughout this report.
