Police are appealing for information and witnesses following the knifepoint robbery of a pregnant woman in Bethnal Green. Police say the woman - in her 30s - was attacked at about 5:30 on Tuesday morning. They say she was set upon as she got into a minicab in Claredale Street, E2.
The woman -who is 20 weeks pregnant - was pushed into the back of the car. Police say despite her telling him she was pregnant, he stabbed her in the leg and made off with her handbag. She was taken to hospital for treatment and discharged the same day, Her child was unharmed

A parent who drove at a teacher because he wouldn't allow access to the school car park, carrying him on his bonnet, has been jailed.
