Boxing coach, Stephen Hiser, has received a British Empire Medal for his services to youth boxing in Southwark.
Mr Hiser has given 49 years of service at the Fisher Boxing Club in Bermondsey, where he is currently head coach.
He volunteered for nearly 40 years, opening the club daily to help train young boxers, before becoming a paid employee.
