Fire crews have been dealing with a fire at a large house in Bayswater.
A dozen fire engines and 60 firefighters arrived at the home on Palace Court Road at 1:20am and spent several hours trying to bring it under control.
Every floor of the five storey building and part of its roof has been affected by the fire, but the house is currently empty for refurbishments and nobody was injured.
Crews have been working hard throughout the night in challenging conditions to get this fire under control and to stop it from spreading to neighbouring buildings. The house affected by the fire is a large property which is currently under refurbishment. No-one is believed to have been living there and thankfully we’ve had no reports of any injuries. Firefighters are likely to remain at the scene throughout the morning.
