Boris challenged over police cuts

The Mayor was challenged today over closing some of the capital's police and fire stations.

Labour's London Assembly members gave him a grilling at City Hall and even accused him of targeting closures in Labour's boroughs.

Boris Johnson defended his draft budget for 2013/14 budget in which he proposed the Metropolitan Police must cut 9 per cent from its budget. He was facing questions at City Hall from the Assembly Budget and Performance Committee.
