The Blue Cross charity is trying to trace the owners of a Saluki purebreed dog which was found badly injured in a street in Wimbledon on Sunday. It is believed the dog may have been hit by a car. He is currently being treated at the charity's animal hospital in Victoria.
Nigel Smith, surgeon at the animal hospital, said: “He is still very shaken and disorientated, but despite his ordeal he has remained friendly and placid. We will operate on him to fix a complicated fracture to his front leg, and hope that over time he’ll be able to resume a normal active life."
