Daniel Day-Lewis continued his domination of the awards season when he triumphed at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles yesterday.
The London born star, has won a Golden Globe and is favourite to win again at this year's Oscars for his performance of the American President in "Lincoln".
Accepting his award, he said: "It occurred to me, it was an actor that murdered Abraham Lincoln.
"And therefore, somehow, it is only so fitting that every now and then an actor tries to bring him back to life again."
