'Basic mistake' are hitting London's railway services
Passengers are suffering from poor managementand "basic operational planning mistakes" on the railways, a reportby rail regulators said today.
Covering Network Rail's performance, the reportsaid that punctuality on long-distance and London commuter services was"well adrift of funded targets".
There was "deteriorating performance on keyparts of the rail network in England and Wales" but a strong performancein Scotland, the report from the Office of Rail Regulation (ORR) said.
