Man jailed for unprovoked attacks on two women

A 35 year-old man has been jailed for four years for knocking two young women unconscious in unprovoked attacks. Last November, police released this footage of Michael Ayoade punching a 16 year-old to the ground in the High Street in Plaistow.

After he was arrested, police realised he had also attacked a university student, Daniella Montieth, at Plaistow tube station in November 2011. She was knocked unconscious in the ticket hall.

Judge Roger Chapple said they were "vicious, unprovoked attacks on young, lone females".
