Cricketer death ruled accidental

An inquest at Westminster Coroner's Court has returned a verdict of accidental death in the case of Cardiff-born cricketer Tom Maynard.

Earlier it heard he was over the drink driving limit and tests suggest he may have used cocaine and ecstasy.

Cricketer was 'high on drink and drugs'

An inquest has heard that promising cricketer Tom Maynard was nearly four times the legal alcohol limit to drive and had also taken cocaine and ecstasy when he was electrocuted on a Tube line.

The 23-year-old was found dead near Wimbledon Park Station in June last year.
