Man charged with car park killing

A man has been charged with the murder of a 35-year-old male who was killed in a car park after a night out last weekend, police said.

Owen Wood, 23, of Godman Road, Grays, Essex is charged with murdering Liam Holden in Grays in the early hours of last Sunday when the victim was on a night out with friends at the Euro Lounge.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court on Monday.

A second man, a 21-year-old also from Grays, arrested in connection with the murder remains on bail until May 22 pending further inquiries.
