Could the Commonwealth Games save the Olympic Stadium and its legacy?
ITV News has learnt the deal for West Ham to take over the venue is expected to be confirmed later this week.
That agreement will also allow the stadium to host Rugby World Cup matches in 2015 and - as it is keeping the track - bid for the Commonwealth Games in 2022.
It'll cost. Taxpayers face a big bill for the key changes to the stadium, but the move could save the venue for the future, protecting that precious Olympic legacy for East London.
