Last baby born at King George Hospital

The last baby to be born on the labour ward of the King George Hospital is the son of a porter who works at the hospital.

Dovydas, who weighed 8lb 2oz is the son of Daunys Donatas and Leva Zemaityte from Romford, and was born on Monday.

The labour ward is transferring to the Queen's Birth Centre in January. This midwife-led unit is based at Queen's Hospital in Romford.

King George will still provide antenatal care and maternity scans.
