A woman has admitted impersonating murdered former oil executive Carole Waugh in order to hire a car.

Miss Waugh disappeared from her home in Marylebone last spring.Her body was found with a single stab wound inside a car in a lock-up garage in Lime Court, New Malden, on August 2nd.

Julie Witham, 47, of Enfield, north London, pleaded guilty at the Old Bailey to conspiracy to defraud.She was remanded on conditional bail to be sentenced at the same court on April 26th.

She admitted plotting to hire a car using a credit card in Miss Waugh's name between April and August last year.

Rakesh Bhayani, 41, and Nicholas Kutner, 48, who are charged with murdering Miss Waugh, 50, were remanded in custody at the same hearing.

Six others accused of conspiracy to defraud were remanded on bail to the next hearing.
