Two hurt in aggravated burglary

A woman was sprayed with pepper spray and a man was stabbed after burglars forced their way into their home, according to police.

At about 10.40pm yesterday, the occupants of an address in Faraday Close, Slough, Berkshire, answered the door and two or three offenders forced their way in.

The two victims who were attacked during the raid, which is being treated by police as an aggravated burglary, were taken to the Wexham Park Hospital in Slough for treatment.

Detective Inspector Nicola Denard, of Thames Valley Police, said: "I would like to reassure the public that incidents such as these are very rare."
