Epsom Hospital is under threat of losing its Accident and Emergency and maternity units if recommendations published today are followed.
The Better Standards Better Value (BSBV) review on services at the hospital has released the draft pre-consultation report.
The report recommends that the hospital becomes an elective care centre with St Helier becoming a local hospital. Both of which would lose the A&E units if the recommendations were followed.
The BSBV is a review of local healthcare services across Epsom and surrounding areas and South West London. It is led by local doctors, nurses and other health workers.
