Two jailed for violent robberies in east and south London

Two armed robbers, who targeted a series of small businesses and bookmakers in east and south London, have been jailed at Southwark Crown Court today.

John Robinson and Charlie Garratty were jailed for a total of 12 years after pleading guilty at the Old Bailey to a number of offences, following the raids between November 2011 and March 2012.

The offences were deemed as "well-planned" by New Scotland Yard, adding that not only had the suspects been "vocal in their threats" but also "very violent" towards their victims, brandishing imitation weapons.
