A man has absconded from an open prison, police said. Abrar Abbasi, 32, left Hollesley Bay prison in Woodbridge, Suffolk at around 2pm on Saturday and is known to have connections in Walthamstow and east London
A Suffolk Police spokesman said he was seen getting into a silver Ford C-Maxcar.
Abbasi was serving a three-year sentence over the production of cannabis anddriving offences.
He is 5ft 10in tall, of medium to heavy build, with short cropped hair, a full beard and brown eyes.
At the time he went missing it is thought he was wearing grey jogging bottoms, a black gilet and possibly a grey top underneath
Police have warned people not to approach Abbasi if they see him.
