Second charged over Selfridges raid

A second man has been charged in connection with a 'smash and grab' raid on London's Selfridges store. A gang dressed in burkhas and carrying axes made off with £1 million worth of luxury watches last Thursday.

Twenty four year old Sam Curtin will appear before magistrates tomorrow, charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and aggravated vehicle taking.

Selfridges raid men sentenced

Connor Groake and Sam Curtin pleaded guilty to conspiracy to rob and aggravated vehicle taking at Kingston Crown Court today. Curtin was sentenced to 10 years' imprisonment and Groake was sentenced to eight years' imprisonment.
