The Mayor's Roads Task Force report aims to ensure the capital can cope with major population growth, support jobs and thousands of new homes in the coming years.

The ambitious £30 billion road improvement plan for London was produced by a task force set up by Mayor Boris Johnson.

The 20-year vision includes improvement to the North and South Circular roads, new "flyunders" and major schemes at Vauxhall, Waterloo, Elephant and Castle and Old Street.

There are also plans for improved bus services, more 20 mph zones, and proposals to improve cycling and walking.
