Man runs through pub with 'AK47'

A man has been arrested after running through a pub in Borough with what appeared to be a AK47. Customers at The George pub were told to get down on the floor.

Man due in court after 'AK47' incident

The man charged after the 'AK47' incident in Borough on Thursday is due in Camberwell Magistrates Court later today.

Al-Fodday Fofanah, 30, was detained after running through a pub in Borough carrying what appeared to be an 'AK47' rifle. He is accused of attempting to raid two banks - Santander on Walworth Road and a branch of Barclays in Borough.

He is also charged with two counts of possession of an imitation firearm with intent to commit robbery.
