The man charged after the 'AK47' incident in Borough on Thursday is due in Camberwell Magistrates Court later today.
Al-Fodday Fofanah, 30, was detained after running through a pub in Borough carrying what appeared to be an 'AK47' rifle. He is accused of attempting to raid two banks - Santander on Walworth Road and a branch of Barclays in Borough.
He is also charged with two counts of possession of an imitation firearm with intent to commit robbery.
