Police appeal over cyclist death

Police are appealing for information about the death of a cyclist who was killed in a road crash just hours after the successful first RideLondon festival. The man in his late 60s died after a crash with a lorry in north London.

Sixth London cyclist killed this year

The incident happened at about 9.50am on Archway Road near the junction of Langdon Park Road.

Two ambulances as well as London's Air Ambulance attended.

A London Ambulance Service spokeswoman said:

“Despite extensive efforts from our staff, sadly a man reported to be in his 40s was pronounced dead at the scene.”

He is the sixth cyclist to be killed in London this year.
