London worst for childhood obesity

Childhood obesity is a big problem in London.

Figures from the Department of Health show that:

  • At Reception Class age - 23% of children in the capital are either overweight or obese.
  • By Year Six - the number has jumped to 37.5%.
  • London has the worst levels of childhood obesity in the whole of England.
