The Lord Mayor's show has paraded through the streets of London for just shy of 800 years. The spectacle has survived the blitz, the great fire and the black death to become a world famous event.
Tomorrow there will be the usual pomp and ceremony, but this year there will also be a break with tradition. Fiona Woolf has become the new Lord Mayor - only the 2nd woman in history to hold the title. Lucrezia Millarini got the chance to meet her.
